Kevin Feng

Kevin Feng is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington. His research interests lie at the intersection of social computing and human-centered AI. Specifically, his work focuses on designing new sociotechnical methods and interactive systems to advance AI usability, safety, and governance. His work is supported by an OpenAI Democratic Inputs to AI grant (2023) and a UW Herbold Fellowship (2022). Feng has held internships and part-time research roles at the Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) and at Microsoft Research. He received a B.S.E. in computer science from Princeton University, where he conducted research at the Center for Information Technology Policy.
