Jake Karr is a legal fellow at the Knight First Amendment Institute. He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor of the Law Review and, as a member of the Technology Law and Policy Clinic, drafted briefs in cases involving the freedom of information, government surveillance, and online free expression. During his studies, he also interned with the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project and Human Rights Watch’s International Justice Program. After his fellowship, he will clerk for the Hon. Allyne Ross of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Jake received his B.A. in Comparative Literature from Brown University.
