Isabella Ramírez

Isabella Ramírez is a fact checker at New York Magazine and graduate of Columbia University, where she earned a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Hispanic Studies. As an undergraduate, Ramírez was the 148th editor in chief of the Columbia Daily Spectator and president of Spectator Publishing Company.

Ramírez has also worked in breaking news, politics reporting, and social media at The Daily Beast, POLITICO, and NBC News. Ramírez has served as the 2022 National Youth Poet Laureate South Regional Ambassador and the 2020 National Student Poet of the Southeast, the highest honors for youth poetry in the United States. Additionally, she has worked as a research assistant at Columbia University School of the Arts, as well as a program assistant for CantoMundo, a national poetry organization dedicated to Latine poetry.
