Isako Di Tomassi is a Ph.D. student in Plant Pathology and Plant-Microbe Biology at Cornell University and an organizer of the McClintock Letters, penned by graduate students and early career scientists around the country. Her research focuses on mitigation of potato late blight disease (known as the Irish Potato Famine disease), caused by the plant pathogen Phytophthora infestans. She serves on the board of the Cornell Advancing Science and Policy Club, which seeks to connect graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with science policy. Di Tomassi earned a Bachelor of Science in Plant Science from Penn State University.
