Will Hughes is a legal fellow with the Knight First Amendment Institute. Before joining the Knight Institute, he completed a fellowship with the Voting Rights Project of the ACLU, aiding with its litigation and federal legislative advocacy. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where he was an articles editor for the NYU Law Review and a fellow in the Arthur Garfield Hays Civil Rights and Civil Liberties program. Through that program, he externed with the Knight Institute. He received his B.A. in mathematics and English from Columbia University.
