Adriana Lamirande

Adriana Lamirande is the Media and Social Media Manager at the Knight Institute. She is responsible for developing nimble public policy communications strategy, interfacing with top tier press and partners in the free speech and digital rights space, amplifying the Institute's cutting edge litigation and new scholarly research in the public sphere and across owned social media platforms, and helping to manage related public education programming.

She received a Master’s Degree in Technology Policy and Human Rights from The Fletcher School at Tufts University in 2021, where she specialized in free speech on social media, content moderation challenges, and what an effective U.S. regulatory framework to address hate speech and misinformation should look like. Her program culminated in the completion of a capstone project titled "Digital Platforms, Content Moderation & Free Speech: How To Set A Regulatory Framework for Government, Tech Companies & Civil Society." 

Her previous role was in tech public relations and crisis communications in San Francisco, representing leading internet and cybersecurity companies, including Cloudflare, Wickr, and Carbon Black.
