Prem Thakker

Prem Thakker is a political correspondent and columnist at Zeteo, an independent media organization founded in 2024. He joined Zeteo after reporting at The Intercept, where he covered climate and the environment, corporate and political corruption, civil rights and justice, and labor. Thakker was also an associate writer for The New Republic.

He is the producer of the 2025 documentary, “One Year Since Israel Killed Hind Rajab. Why Has the US Ignored the Murder of a 6-Year-Old Child?” The project is a product of Thakker’s months of reporting on the U.S. State Department, and won the Digital Video Storytelling, Long Form, Small/Medium Newsroom prize from the Online Journalism Awards.
