Dylan Hadfield-Menell is an associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He runs the Algorithmic Alignment Group in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) where his research develops AI alignent methods. The Algorithmic Alignment Group works to address alignment challenges in multi-agent systems, human-AI teams, and societal oversight of machine learning, with the goal of enabling the safe, beneficial, and trustworthy deployment of AI in real-world settings.
